At the forefront of smart eyewear Bose acquired a Bay Area startup marrying patented open ear micro acoustics with future thinking augmented reality software. I was responsible for leading the design and creative direction for a new to Bose product category. This required learning a whole new industry, fashion eyewear, and applying my experience in designing and manufacturing tiny acoustic platforms - the ultimate combination of style, comfort, and craftsmanship.

Next generation Frames deliver open-ear audio through more discreet, lighter weight design, comfortable enough for all-day wear. Swappable wireless audio modules allow customers to unlock new levels of self expression by owning multiple frame styles.

Compatible with both sun and prescription lenses.
Two bluetooth audio modules can be removed from the frames and charged in the pocketable charging case.
Style and substance
Crafted from premium cellulose acetate, the front frames showcase a vibrant spectrum of colors, textures, and finishes. A heritage material that is an icon of style, beauty, and authenticity.
A signature brand element was developed by deconstructing the Bose logo.

To encourage all-day wear the case was designed to be easily carried in a pocket. A soft form with tapered edges is comfortable to hold and aids pocket-ability. The secure latch ensures things stay closed when bouncing around in a bag, but as soon as it’s pressed the dampened spring hinge lifts the lid.
